Quote of the Week, #1

Do not look for the spiritual flower every day. Sow the seed, water it with prayer and right endeavour. When it sprouts, take care of the plant, pulling out the weeds of doubt, indecision, and indifference that may spring up around it. Some morning you will suddenly behold your long- awaited spiritual flower of Realization.

~Graduation~ (June 6, 2009)

Hi Everyone,
this is Elmar, Student Council Junior Class President......

Today, we officially say "FAREWELL" to our seniors of '09. From now on until next June, the Juniors, class of 2010, are to take the places of the seniors who just left. It was a cheerful yet tearful graduation ceremony, and there are more to come with the class of 2010 graduating next. As I would say, "Sayonara Senpai!!!" (japanese)

Student Council Award Ceremony

It behooves every man to remember that the work of the critic is of altogether
secondary importance, and that, in the end, progress is accomplished by the man
who does things.
By Theodore Roosevelt

With the final Student Council event of the 2008-09 school year, I provide this quote by a former U.S president to summarize our experiences as a council. From our past events (e.g Homecoming dance, plant a tree donations, marry-me booth, etc..) there were some students who thought they were going to be "lame" or "not their thing." However, Student Council worked very hard and made these events a success. Now that the seniors are leaving, the underclassmen will be responsible for keeping that hard work moving forward. And with our Final event, The Student Council Award Ceremony, the officers and members got their awards and the seniors said their farewells and recieved scholarships for college. The members and sponsors may change, but the council will always be the same.

P.s. I might be lectured tomorrow by the sponsors regarding grammatical mistakes that might appear in this post.
